Accounts Of Chemical Research Publishes Special Issues

The editors of Accounts of Chemical Research are excited about the large number of special issues that the journal has recently published and has in the pipeline.

Editor Joan S. Valentine of the University of California, Los Angeles, believes special issues have a unique value as a package of related, highly readable reviews on a single topic.

So far this year, ACR has the following special issues in the works:

  • Molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecules was the subject of the June special issue, which had Martin Karplus as guest editor.
  • Archaeological chemistry is the topic of this month's issue. Joseph Lambert is guest editor.
  • Next month ACR will offer a special issue on green chemistry, edited by Istvan Horvath.

A tentative schedule for next year includes an issue on structural genomics, edited by Ivano Bertini, as well as a special issue on carbon nanotubes.
