This instrument greatly expands the capabilities of the 1100 Series purification system. The modular flexibility of the system allows purification applications from analytical to large- scale preparative scale. The 1100 Series autosampler offers fast injection cycles for increased productivity and throughput. Analyzer. This ultrasensitive, ultraminiaturized, high-throughput instrument analyzes protein expression patterns in a single cancer cell. An atomic force microscope (AFM) is used for direct single-molecule detection to analyze solid-state arrays of proteins known to indicate cancer expression states in cells. These assays are configured as an array with 100 x 100 spots in a 0.1 x 0.1 mm area. Because of the high-resolution height detection of the AFM (0.5 nm), the binding of a sample protein is revealed by a change in the height of a specific spot on the array. No chemical, fluorescent, or radioactive labels are required. AFM scans are fully automated and take less than 1 h, allowing large numbers of cells to be rapidly screened with little human intervention.

It is made from PEI bonded to base-deactivated silica, which provides better column lifetimes than coated materials. The PEI bonded surface allows the column to be used for anion exchange or hydrophilic interaction chromatography, depending on the mobile phase pH and organic modifier content.
Media bags. These single-use, flexible containers are used for sterile fluid containment and processing in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostic applications. B3 Media bags are lightweight and sterile, virtually eliminating the cleaning, storage, and sterilization costs associated with reusable containers. This product is ideal for storage and processing of tissue culture media, harvest collection, buffer solutions, and other sterile fluids. Microtiter plates. The 96-well IMBP plates are used for detecting and isolating heteroduplex DNA fragments. Unlike gel-based mutation detection methods, IMBP binds strongly to mismatches that closely resemble base pairs. Assays are run on standard equipment, use no radiation or gels, and are completed in less than 1 h. Microarrayer. The high-performance benchtop OmniGrid Accent prints from three microtiter plates onto a 50-slide-capacity platform, and it supports a print head that holds up to 48 pins. The instrument produces high-quality arrays by printing with high accuracy and precision; center-to-center spot distances are adjustable in 2.5-µm increments. The space-saving benchtop arrayer also prints more than 4000 features per slide in 1 h at full pin and slide capacities. Handling system. This unit allows contaminant-free bag disposal and can be adapted to any reactor filling port. Filling the reactor takes place in a closed system, so staff members are fully protected against dust. Optical microscopy. The Montage Explorer optical microscopy system has a high-precision XYZ stepper stage that is automated in all three planes and offers up to 89 million pixels. The autocalibration function measures the alignment between camera and sample to ensure perfect stitching together of images. HPLC.
