RNA protocol. The T7 protocol automates
all steps from isolating whole RNA to cRNA synthesis and purification. Yields
of cRNA produced with the automated protocol compare favorably to those obtained
from traditional manual methods run in tandem. Processed samples have proven to
hybridize successfully to Affymetrix GeneChips, yielding data fully comparable
to manual methods. The new protocol is a step in amplifying RNA generated from
small amounts of sample materials for DNA microarray experiments.

recovery of 100- to 10,000-base-pair DNA fragments from agarose gel slices. A
