Data system. LimsLink is designed to interface output from chromatography data systems (CDSs) to LIMS. It includes the LimsLink 3.0 platform and a CDS Communication Module. The latter provides a link between any CDS and any LIMS. Using a highly configurable collector and reporter, the system communicates bidirectionally between the LIMS and the CDS. Worklists can be uploaded to the CDS, and results can be retrieved and delivered directly to the LIMS. Working as either a background application or a data review station, LimsLink provides a safe and secure link between the CDS and LIMS.
Labtronics 150 Reagent kits. This line of proprietary reagents, containers, and automation tools is designed for genomics and drug discovery research. It includes proven biochemical assay kits, a full line of consumables, and a robotic liquid handler. Expansion of the product line addresses the throughput needs of users with turnkey solutions, including automation hardware, software, and validated biochemical reagent kits, from the laboratory bench to full-scale production systems.
Tip cleaner. This tool allows AFM probes to be reused instead of being replaced. Features include property profiles that compute and display sequence-dependent properties that are dynamically linked to sequence and structure display windows. Database searches include customized versions of sequence properties that have been manipulated, partitioned, and compressed, allowing them to reside on the hard drive. PepTool is compatible with Windows 95/98, Windows NT, or higher. Dyes. FluoroLink CyDye is a range of dyes for labeling biological molecules using cyanine fluors. Designed for multicolor detection in microarray and other fluorescence- based genome analysis techniques, it offers results in an easy-to-read format. Products available include MegaBACE, an automated high-throughput DNA sequencer; LEAD seeker, the homogeneous imaging system for HTS of potential drugs; and CHROMAFLOW, for efficient downstream processing of biomolecules. Lab carts. Designed for assembly without tools, the 3-in.-deep ledge contains spills and product. Deep Ledge carts are composed of polymer shelves and are corrosion-proof and easy to clean. The cart is available in a 20 × 30-in. or 26 × 36-in. size in 2- and 3-shelf models. Evaporator systems. The Series II HT-4 is designed for solvent evaporation bottlenecks in laboratories using parallel synthesis techniques. An ultracompact instrument, this evaporation system incorporates a space-saving built-in condenser and embedded PC for high-performance capabilities. In addition, the HT-4 open-access evaporator allows purified fractions to be loaded and unloaded without the traditional delay. Additional samples can be loaded into available spaces in the sample rotor, and the fractions can be easily identified at every stage in the process. Membrane filtration systems. Using microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, or reverse osmosis, this model automates systems of all sizes. Applications include the dairy, food and beverage, fermentation, biotechnology, and chemical industries. Each system is backed with process evaluation and complete self-contained pilot plant units for product testing and development. Rheometer. This system accurately measures the flow properties of powders, granules, and wet mixes in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. In addition, it measures excipients and drug substances and can help manufacturers avoid typical problems such as batch and source variation of ingredients, caking during storage, and sticking during production and filling. Extractor. An automated high-throughput robotic system for DNA extraction, this model purifies nucleic acids from up to four 96-deep-well plates in just 4 h. Users can load sample plates directly onto the extractor, start the system, and walk away. This extractor combines high-throughput automation at a low cost per prep, while maintaining high yield and the added feature of 96-deep-well capability. Probes. Nonglass IntelliProbes replace fragile glass electrodes with sturdy silicon ISFET sensors. The clog-resistant sensing area can be cleaned using a toothbrush and requires minimal routine maintenance. Intelligent signal processing converts the ISFET and temperature signals to match a glass pH electrode signal at the measurement temperature. Accurate and reliable results are obtained using the glass pH meters automatic temperature compensation facility. Software. The Enterprise Pharmacology Series, or EP2, provides research scientists with a totally integrated solution for the centralized management, analysis, simulation, and reporting of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data during early drug development research. Because pharmaceutical companies must decide early in their research whether to send promising compounds into a later stage of clinical development, one of the primary objectives of EP2 is to integrate fragmented data into an enterprise-wide database for high-throughput analysis and reporting. Calibration kit. For on-the-spot calibration, the Mini-Cal Kit comes in two forms. The CC-IL consists of two low-pressure, steel, 1-L cylinders best suited for natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refinery gases. The CC-1AL contains a high-pressure, aluminum, 1-L cylinder ideal for reactive or high-pressure standards. Regulators for each application are provided in brass or stainless steel and offer stable, precise pressure controls. Software. SeqMerge is a graphical fragment assembly package that places no restrictions on the number of fragments that can be assembled. Because of the softwares graphical interface, researchers can easily select, view, manipulate, assemble, and disassemble alignments of multiple fragments and keep track of their sequences on a project-by-project basis. This software accepts sequence trace data in most common formats and provides direct access to the companys databases for retrieval of vector and fragment sequences.
